Presence.

Being in your experiences opposed to always in your head, bringing yourself down into your body and away from the to do lists and what has to come next.

I still catch myself here on occasion.

Knowing now the tools and regular routines to support and move through all of the old thoughts and ways of being.

Manifesting as somebody who can be in true Joy and Abundance; not to mention confidence and one who is radically chasing after their dreams.

But let’s first go back a little further to why we are so disconnected as a society; why we are so focused on the constant notifications from our phones emails + , the intimate details of celebrities lives+

When we are focused on others, we are not focused on ourselves.

When we are not focused on ourselves; our bodies are in constant chaos, leaving for quick reactions, judgement, obediance… whatever that means to you.

In a constant state of survival mode, listening to the rules of what we are supposed to do opposed to what our soul is after.

Arriving in our bodies as deep mental health and physical ailments; our emotions (//energy in motion) needing to be moved and released from our cells to support through that. (Here for a quick blog I wrote a few years ago in response to mental health).

Some ways that we allow ourselves to stay disconnected; with no shame or guilt portrayed here… we are all always doing the best that we can.

&when we know better, we can do better ↠

  • technology making it easier for people to access allll the information
    ↠ our systems aren’t meant to handle this much information, just think of alllll the energy of things out of our control that are just storing in our systems from this

  • social media allowing for this too, in addition to the instant gratification or approval we seek through likes or shares on a screen
    ↠ the affect that being in a regular scroll has on our brains, our attention spans become lesser and lesser

  • work - while important and meaningful (we are all here on this earth to do a job), we are strapped down by the systems that promote disconnection; holding little space to be a human and instead always on someody else’s time

  • consumer culture - oof. Another form of distraction; constantly looking for the thing that will sprout a little bit of happiness. Of course things can hold meaning, but we’re talking different angles over here.

When you become present in your life, you are able to witness and be in all of the mundane moments; you are able to be in deeper gratitude and fulfillment.

But first, we need to feel safe in our bodies in order to get here.

The deep disconnection we inhabit as a society keeps us in cycles of what we know, our own version of safety (on a nervous system level) regardless of whether our mind knows that this sense of safety is no longer serving us.

Breathwork, as you may know is a powerful practice in getting yourself here; literally shaking up the (disconnected) energies and making space of you, beyond the distractions and what you thought you were supposed to be.

Using our Roots to feel safety in this new sense

Your Sacral to begin unravelling who exactly that could be .. who you are on a deep soul level

Our Solar to begin taking action to that version of yourself

The fear moving through our Hearts and into our passion, love and forgiveness

Your Throat to welcome the space to express and come into your personal truth

The Third Eye to welcome in the bigger picture, to calm our minds and to inhibit a healthy imagination

&our Crown to integrate into the deeper connection we have embodied within ourselves, the Universe and beyond.

In the meantime, here are some other tools you can use to integrate deeper presence into your life..

✨ Mindfullness practices (Breathwork, Meditation, Card Pulls, Gratitude lists)

✨ Boundaries with technology (getting off them as fits right; limiting the scroll)

✨ Avoid multitasking - many praise being able to do this, but it just makes my brain feel all sorts of all over the place (distracted) and whether you are conscious to this or not, it keeps your brain/ body in that state of survival mode.

✨ Meaningful activities - finding communities that suits your needs and what you are after in this stage of your life; people who are modelling making change for themslevs instead of staying in their own safety of stuck

✨ Mindfully eating and moving our bodies

✨ Finding ways to manage our stress; there is no one way. Each of us are drawn to different modalities.
