Bergamot Queen

  • NONE BUT OURSELVES CAN FREE OUR MINDS

    -BOB MARLEY

The mind is what we logically comprehend; it is what we tell ourselves based on our experiences and can transmute into the energy we carry around in our bodies.

Our mind is what much of the world focuses on because we can understand it. It is what “makes sense” and can be explained by recalling events in our lives.

If we have emotional intelligence (not as common as one may think), we can even go as far as explaining how we feel in an attempt to “get it out” of our systems.

An important role, but not the whole thing like many of us are brought up believing.

  • THE WISDOM OF THE BODY IS THE HEALER OF TRAUMA, THE BODY KEEPS THE SCORE, BUT IT ALSO HOLDS THE KEY TO HEALING

    -PETER LEVINE

Just like our mind stores information from all of our experiences, our body stores the way it felt (energetically) from those experiences and they become a part of our cellular makeup.

When those emotions are not processed somatically (through our body), our bodies hold the energy and over time become stagnant and stuck, in turn affecting the motion and flow of our bodies, guiding our nervous systems’ role in how we react in life, love and beyond.

Therefore, the body is guiding our lives based on our own individual and collective experiences as well as those from our ancestors before us (cellularly).

  • Our breath is a tool to support our mind/ body connection, the number one Somatic healing tool.

Allowing us to unravel and move through the emotions and experiences that are no longer serving the person we are destined to become according to the energy sciences (the feelings).

On a more Westernized science level, our nervous system (imprinted by our emotions) is being retrained with our style of breath; out of the anxious or frozen states and into a calmer, more peaceful state of mind.

Ultimately, making room for you to not only find safety within this new found confidence, but layers of you that have been forgotten or hidden along the way.

  • Allow your breath to create space for your full, empowered self.

  • Learn how our subconscious controls much of our life ...until we reframe our experiences and make space in our bodies.

  • Connect to your truest self, learn somatic tools to integrate throughout your journey.

  • Understand how past generations affect our present reality on a cellular level.

[My Story] Throughout my journey of growth and development, I reflected a lot on why it was that I hadn’t started this journey sooner - I was 28 and I had lived SO much of my life (so I used to think) just living in the mundane and going along to get along… with almost everything that I was told that I was supposed to be. I had a job that I loved, a cute little apartment and friends that I loved to spend my time with.

There are some things that I didn’t agree with a long time ago, but I had stopped talking about it because others’ didn’t like it. I stayed small, a deep core belief that my opinions did not matter.

I was in a full on state of survival mode. Seeking control and the next escape.

I wasn’t interested in any form of relationship, I was good living a casual lifestyle (circa 2017) without any desire for love.

I was on a deep road to mental health

A go to work, go to school, party with friends and sleep life on repeat.

My family recognized it, but of course them growing up in a world where mental health was not normalized, they didn’t know what to do - so they sent me to California to spend a little getaway with some fam. An appreciated trip, but a bandaid for sure.

It would still be a couple years before I started making changes.

Beginning to recognize that a lot of the choices that I was making (being of service, not respecting my own boundaries, that lack of interest in relationships) was all due to how I felt about myself.

Deep wounds (from a variety of minuscule moments and some life altering experiences).

I didn’t recognize that I was worthy of anything different.
I didn’t even know I didn’t know this.

If you had of asked me back then whether or not I liked myself, I would have told you that I did; however, I was making choices that said otherwise.

A lack of understanding of the possibilites that were out there for me, knowing I didn’t align with the narratives but never really having somebody to show me any different. Until I did.

I can’t pinpoint the exact moment I decided I needed different in my life, but I had been paying attention to others that I knew or used to know who were making changes for themselves, I needed to do that too.

So I started and I quickly realized that I was not alone and that there was most definitely other women out there that had once felt the way that I had.

Bergamot Queen was conceived through this.
Through unlearning and learning and exploring and integrating.

The space to guide the deepest levels of self-awareness and self-acceptance.

You don’t need to hold yourself back anymore.

Ultimately, you can experience a profound sense of inner freedom, authenticity, and wholeness, leading to more fulfilling relationships, greater joy, and a deeper engagement with your life. You may move from a place of striving for self-worth to simply embodying it.

What would happen if we all began to see our worth? If we no longer let societal and life standards hold us back?

If we learned to integrate the body into our healing work and regulated our nervous systems?

We would, to put it frankly change the world.

When we are able to not only recognize our worth, but feel it in our bodies and use the tools that we offer here to retrain your nervous system, you allow your body to come into a deeper state of calm; a window of tolerance (that all of our bodies are seeking); and no longer feeling weighed down by our frozen bodies and anxious minds.

When we are able to recognize our worth and live in a deeper state of calm, we start to live in alignment with who we are meant to be because we’ve built the space and capacity (in mind and body) to figure out and hold who that truly is.
