Summer Solstice
I usually pop in around seasonal changes to share some reflections from the past season, but this one is feeling different.
We’re living in a world where passive aggression is seen as sticking up for rights and where we are claiming to be deeply connected, when if that were the case, wouldn’t we all be a little less chaotic?
and thats just not what I am witnessing over here.
Chaos is a common thread of a society based on power// over; based on othering each other/ populations as opposed to just being human; based on the centuries of hurt that we’re all just still surviving through.
Until we make the conscious choice to truly, deeply connect.
Ask the questions because everything is not as simple as it may seem in a post; you get pieces of the thoughts, but not what formed them or the lifestory behind it.
Ask the questions because its not really how social media or the news portrays things to be.
Have the conversations and get curious instead of proclaiming your solidarity on social media or assuming you have different value systems.
Be the change and recognize that you probably don’t have all the answers, none of us do.
Lead with love; with a soft recognition of who you are and a bold stance on what you believe in, without it being detrimental to your mental well-being.
(im talking the constant shares about all thats wrong with the world… get off the phone and into the grass).
This is a pivotol time in history, pay attention to the energy you walk with and ask yourself if it is one that is beneficial for the generations after us.
Is it one that honours all of the pieces of you?
Or one that has you constantly questioning your sanity, worth and identity?
Is it one that holds values that promote a good society (ie: trust, safety, freedom, heart-led ++) or one that keeps you stuck and running in the circles of victimhood.
Is it calm or chaotic?
Which one are you feeding into?
This was inspired by the below post by Sarah Jenks, who also has me reflecting on the type of woman I am choosing to show up as in this next season.
She shares in the post about different goddess energies, and it’s reminding me of an old love for mythology. I loved reading about it in English class, what I know now as me resonating and knowing that there were truths in these lessons. Truths in the archeatypes of women who were taking back their power.
& it has me reflecting on the woman that I am learning to embody, the work that I am meant to put out into the world and the energy that I walk with.
Somebody who is leading with a grounded and stable knowing and being the change I wish to see in the world.
No longer the littler girl inside yelling “what about me”, rather making it about me and in turn pouring into my purpose, my north node.
Humanity (collective healing), to break away from conventional thinking (and actually share what those thoughts are). No longer seeking approval or recognition from those who just don’t get it.
A woman who is learning to honour herself, to deeply surrender to all that is and all that is meant to be.
To add another layer to the deep self-care, to aligning with more like-minded people who are out here to change the world, one disruption at a time.
To live. To be deeply present in everything already is.
To love, the catalyst of it all.
While still honouring the other array of emotions that make up this human experience.
From the above post, I resonate most with Libertas - a force, representing freedom of the people. Rising, in times of supression and control.
&so, we make a vow to do just that.
